The Friends of Film Society of Powell River is proud to present the 17th Annual Powell River Film Festival, a week of engaging films this February. We’re dedicated to showcasing the finest and most current releases from Powell River, Canada, and the World.

Passes and individual tickets are available online at our Eventbrite page, or in-person at our pop-up kiosk near Coles in the Town Centre Mall, Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays, 12pm–4pm.

This year we offer full Festival and Matinee-only Passes, with senior pricing as well. Passes start at just $40 for 6 films.

With more than 3,200 seats filled last year, the Powell River Film Festival provides an excellent opportunity for audiences with an interest in culture and community to view critically-acclaimed cinema – interact with the local filmmaking community, industry professionals – and engage in a dialogue.

This year’s highlight is the production, Kayak to Klemtu, directed by Zoe Hopkins, starring Ta’Kaiya Blaney & Evan Adams from Tla’amin Nation.Join us for the opening party – with a musical performance by Ta’Kaiya, the director in attendance, and catering by Sli City Grill!
