Community Engagement Coordinator
Requirements
You have good communication skills and enjoy interacting with people in person and through various channels – including social media, email, and via telephone.
You are comfortable reaching out to private donors, sponsors, and society members
You work well in a small team, know how to take responsibility and are flexible to the needs of the moment.
You are well organized, able to set priorities, take direction, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. You can maintain lists, spreadsheets, and contacts.
Experience in event planning and management is a plus.
Part time contract November 2020 to April 2021
Responsibilities
In consultation with the Youth Film Camp Coordinator, Festival Coordinator, and reporting to the Festival Director, the Community Engagement Coordinator will implement the following:
Sponsors/Donors Engagement
- Communication with private donors & sponsors
- Support festival coordinator in managing complimentary tickets
- Support executive director in sponsor sales
Community Outreach
- Membership list management
- Connecting with local groups for potential film connections
- Posting listings for all local community directories
- Identifying local stories that support the Festival or programming themes
- Support the Festival Coordinator in volunteer appreciation events
- Adventures in Film Camp outreach to Rotary Clubs and new potential camp supporters
- 5-Minute Film Contest outreach – high schools, teachers, students
Festivals Support
- Support the Festival Coordinator at Will-Call table during PRFF and PRFF Youth programming
- Support Camp Coordinator during camp (March 5 – 9)
- Support Executive Director in Special Event Planning
Youth Film Camp Coordinator
Requirements
You have good communication skills and enjoy interacting with people in person and through various channels – including social media, email, and via telephone.
You have experience working with youth, enjoy supporting creative process, and can calmly troubleshoot situations as they arise.
You work well in a small team, know how to take responsibility and are flexible to the needs of the moment.
You are well organized, able to set priorities, take direction, and multitask in a fast-paced environment. You can maintain lists, spreadsheets, and contacts.
You have experience in event planning and management.
Part time contract November 2020 to April, 2021
Responsibilities
In consultation with the Community Outreach Coordinator, Festival Coordinator, and reporting to the Executive Director, the Film Camp Coordinator will organize the delivery of aspects of 4 day intensive PRFF Adventures in Film Camp and Youth Festival by implementing the following:
Adventures in Film Camp
- Developing programming for Youth Screenings (at Evergreen and Patricia) in collaboration with Community Engagement Coordinator and Executive Director
- Planning and implementing all aspects of the camp March 5-9, 2020, in consultation with camp partners and suppliers
- Reside onsite at camp hotel during the camp, coordinating and delivering meals, chaperoning campers
- Coordinating transportation for campers with individuals and Rotary Clubs
- Coordinating homestays with local Rotarians and others
- Coordinating in-town transportation for film crews and mentors
- Collecting, compiling and reporting on camp feedback from the campers, mentors, staff and partners
- Delivering final digital files of film for posting online
