Volunteers are an integral part of the support necessary to produce PRFF.
The Powell River Film Festival has many volunteer opportunities before, during and after the festival. Volunteers can invest as much time as they’d like.
If you’d like to help out, go directly to our sign-up page. to see available volunteer shifts. You can choose where you want to help, and see who you’ll be volunteering with! Each 2-hour shift you complete will earn you a FREE movie ticket. Please note: all volunteers are required to wear masks during their shifts. If you have a medical exemption from wearing a mask, please let us know when you sign up for your shift.

Volunteer Opportunities
Throughout the Year:
- Patricia Theatre screenings: ticket scanners, ushers, door greeters
- Adventures in Film Camp: venue setup, meal setup and cleanup, drivers, ushers
- Elementary School Screenings: ushers and ticket takers
Powell River Film Festival:
- Sell passes at our PRFF kiosk at Town Centre Mall leading up to the Film Festival
- Box office pass scanning
- Food and drink serving
- Ushering
- Audience ballot counting
- Bartending at special events
- Sanitizing and cleanup after films
